Implementing an urban garden with a focus on California native plants will support place-based learning and education on sustainable gardening practices and biodiversity. This project hopes to engage community members in the work of implementing a community garden, and in the process of teaching and learning how to garden sustainably.

When you join your local library’s Teen Council, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and participate in a civic action project and implement positive change in your community. Projects form in September, but you may join anytime.
