This project will spread long-lasting awareness to the community about the importance of preserving nature, including planting drought tolerant plants, such as milkweed and California honeysuckle, in the unlandscaped portions around our library. This project will also include a series of activities with families, including a community garden with informational signs, educational brochures, and monthly programs for all ages.

When you join your local library’s Teen Council, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and participate in a civic action project and implement positive change in your community. Projects form in September, but you may join anytime.
