Stop Gentrification in Chinatown

Project Mission:

Gentrification

In collaboration with the Stop the Gondola Coalition, this TLC project worked to safeguard Chinatown’s culture and resources by elevating resident voices. The teen participants hosted workshops, a community town hall, and a panel discussion with leaders from Buried Under the Blue, Stop the Gondola, and Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez. Over 150 participants joined the effort by signing the project petition, creating zines, buttons, and fans, and writing postcards to stakeholders to advocate for sustainable, community-centered solutions and oppose the gondola project.
